Katan Banarasi silk is a handloom fabric from Varanasi (Banaras) made from pure silk threads that are twisted together to create a strong, soft, and lustrous fabric. The Katan technique is a plain weave that twists two warp and two weft silk threads, strengthening the material while maintaining its luxurious feel.
