Satin silk sarees use a fabric that combines a specific weave, called satin weave, with a natural fiber, silk. This results in a fabric with a characteristically smooth, shiny, and lustrous surface on one side, with a duller back, due to the way the threads are floated during weaving. Unlike synthetic satin, which is made from fibers like polyester, satin silk is made from 100% silk fibers, offering a soft feel, elegant drape, and breathability.
